Dr. Williams graduated from Yale University and earned his Medical Degree with honors in 1982 from George Washington University. Following an internship and residency at the University of North Carolina (UNC), Dr. Williams completed his research and clinical cardiology Fellowship at UNC. Dr. Williams is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiogram, and Nuclear Cardiology; he currently practices in all specialties. He is past President of the New Jersey chapter of the American Heart Association Board and he is past President of the national Board of the Association of Black Cardiologists. He has also served as Chief of Cardiology for the Veterans Affairs Hospital in East Orange, NJ. His clinical interests and expertise are in hyperlipidemia, hypertension, cardiovascular research and general cardiology. Dr. Williams practices at the following hospitals: Englewood Health, Valley Health System, and the Atlantic Healthcare System.
